PARTICIPANT INFORMATION SHEET

Title of the project: Personality and Interpersonal Behaviour

My name is Kai Li Chung and I am a researcher from the School of Applied Sciences at Edinburgh Napier University. You are being invited to participate in a research project that I am conducting. Before deciding to take part, please take the time to read the following carefully.

This is a piece of research on personality and behaviour. We are interested in looking at the influence of individual differences on interpersonal behaviour. The findings of this research will be useful, as they will aid our understanding of the dynamics in interpersonal relationships.

We are looking for volunteers to participate in the project. You are welcome to take part if you are aged 18 or over and are able to speak English fluently.

In this study, you are asked to fill out two questionnaires. Participation in this study will take no longer than 10 minutes.

We are not aware of any risks associated with taking part in this project. You are free to withdraw from the study at any stage without having to provide reasons for doing so and without any consequences.

All data are collected and held anonymously, so there are no identifying data that can link any information to the participants. All data provided will be securely stored on password-protected computers, to which only I and my co-investigator, Dr Kathy Charles, have access. These will be kept securely until the end of the research project, following which all data will be destroyed.

The information from this project may be published in a journal or presented at a conference.

This research is funded by Edinburgh Napier University.

If you have read and understood this information sheet, any questions you had have been answered, and you would like to continue and be involved in this project, you will first be asked to indicate consent. By ticking the blank box at the bottom of the consent form and clicking ‘continue’, you are consenting to taking part in this study.

Please contact the principal investigator Dr Kai Li Chung (kaili.chung@napier.com) for any queries, or in case of any problems with your participation.
